Biography

He is a Surgical Director of Adult and Pediatric Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation at the University of Kentucky. He enjoys transplanting patient who can go back to being productive members of society.

Research Interest

His research interests are broad. He is interested in clinical outcomes and how pre-morbid conditions like sarcopenia, Diabetes and obesity affect them. He is also interested in immunosuppression mechanisms. They have looked into unconventional pathway inhibitors as immunosuppressant’s, and cancer drugs. They are currently looking into “T-cell exhaustion” and the role of T-regs in both this phenomenon and allograft acceptance.
