Profile

Bodhi Chaudhuri is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Institute of Materials Science (IMS) at University of Connecticut. He got his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology after he obtained his MS and BS both in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Jadavpur University, Calcutta respectively. He performed postdoctoral research in Pharmaceutical Engineering at Rutgers University and has 3 years of industrial experience. His group's research is focused on solving problems of pharmaceutical significance with a rigor of multi-scale engineering approaches. He has published more than 50 journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He acts as an editorial board member for Advanced Powder Technology, Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and several other international journals. He has given more than 10 invited talks in academia and industry. His research has been funded by NIH, FDA, NSF-CPPR, American Cancer Society, PhRMA, Pfizer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Astrazeneca and Physical Sciences Inc. He has consulted to several pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in USA and overseas. He has participated in activities of AIChE, ASME, AAPS, AACP, NAMF, and ACS. He received PhRMA Foundation Award and Young Investigator Award from FDA in 2010 and 2013 respectively.
