Biography

Dr. Walen hails from Saskatchewan, Canada, where he earned his medical degree, completed his residency, and became board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

He came to the United States for a fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) at Washington University School of Medicine. His training included cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, head and neck.

He performs a variety of reconstructive procedures, including basic and complicated lesion removals, rhinoplasty (nose jobs), skin cancer removals/reconstructions and facial trauma. In his cosmetic practice, he offers Botox, fillers, cosmetic rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and procedures to rejuvenate the aging face.

He is an assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Saint Louis University, with research interests in use of cosmetic filler for nasal valve collapse and the use of ultrasound in follow-up care for rhinoplasty patients.
