Biography

Raul N Ondarza has had extensive experience in teaching Biochemistry, Molecular biology and Epigenetics to students of Biology and Medicine, in the Faculties of Sciences and Medicine of the UNAM. His experience includes directing research theses and providing formal courses for students in both Master’s and Doctor’s degree programs. For twelve years, Dr. Ondarza was Advisor and General Coordinator of Science Committees within CONACYT (1971-1982) and created five new research centers in several locations in Mexico dedicated to the fields of Ecology, Biomedical Research, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Marine Biology and Oceanography. These centers are CICESE in Ensenada, B.C.; CIBNOR in La Paz, B.C. Sur; CIES in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas; CIQA in Saltillo, Coahuila; and CICY in Mérida, Yucatán.

  • Biochemistry and molecular biology of human parasites
  • cancer cells infected by the Papilloma virus.
