Biography

Corporate research and product development executive with twenty years experience in senior management. Co-inventor of the Invader Assay, a nucleic acid amplification technology that was commercialized and valued at over $500 million. Broad experience in medical microbiology, molecular biology, oncology, cell signaling, and diagnostic devices. Deep knowledge of molecular imaging, contrast agents, and translation of imaging agents to clinical use, including maneuvering through regulatory filings.

Research Interest

My research focuses on developing fluorescence contrast agents and instrumentation for fluorescence-guided cancer surgery. The hope is that these agents will enable more efficient surgical removal of solid tumor tissue, resulting in better therapeutic outcomes.
