Profile

Dr. Bouzayen graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Tunis University, Tunisia in 1989.  She did her residency in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the University of Montreal from 1992 to 1996.  She then became a clinical fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from the University of Montreal and McGill University.
In 1999, Dr. Bouzayen moved to Moncton, New Brunswick to do a locum for one year at the George Dumont Hospital as a general Obstetrician/Gynaecologist and was closely involved in the Fertility Clinic.
From August 2000 to present she has held a position as an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Dalhousie University where she acts as a Consultant and Active Staff.
Dr. Bouzayen also holds the position of Director of the Fellowship Program for the Gynaecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Program.  Under her care, the Program was approved and accredited by the Royal College. In addition to this post-graduate commitment, she is also the Head of the REI Division at the IWK Health Centre. 

Dr. Bouzayen’s practice includes general gynaecology, obstetrics and a busy reproductive endocrinology practice.  She is also part of the team providing assisted reproductive technology in the form of In Vitro Fertilization.  Research field of interest is the interaction between obesity and reproduction.
