Biography

He is currently a Professor and Director of the Forensic Sciences Program at National University, La Jolla, California. He holds MD degree and a Master in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, and PhD degree from Tohoku University School of Medicine, Sendai, Japan. Research interest includes Forensic Medicine/pathology, Forensic Serology & DNA, Forensic Anthropology and Forensic Toxicology. His research activities include more than 170 peer reviewed scientific publications and presentations which are cited in all major forensic, genetics and pathology journals and textbooks. Extensive experience in forensic Sciences for more than 40 years teaching, practice, research. He also has administrative experiences during his long forensic work career including his experience as former chair of department of Forensic Medicine and the current position with National University as the Director of Forensic Sciences program since 1999.

Research Interest

On DNA& STR systems using PCR technology. A histopathological study on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Clinical vs. Postmortem Diagnosis.
