Biography

Dr. Abbas is a consultant general and laparoscopic surgeon and head of general surgery department at National Guard hospital, AL Madina, KSA.

Assistant professor of clinical surgery / Tiabah University /Al Madina / KSA.

Graduated from university of Khartoum /Sudan in 1982 and obtained the fellowship of the royal college of surgeon /Ireland 1n 1990 and the fellowship of the American college of surgeons and the international college of surgeons, USA.

Actively involved in training of surgical residents and he is the director of the Saudi council training program in general surgery at the National Guard hospital, Al Madina and examiner for the Saudi council for health specialization in general surgery.

Organizer and director of the basic and advanced laparoscopic training courses at National Guard hospital, Al Madina.

Member of the editorial board and reviewer in many international medical journals.

Member of many international academic associations and societies of general and laparoscopic surgery and member of the international federation of obesity and metabolic surgery.

Active researcher with more than 50 scientific papers published in different international medical journals.

Recently awarded by the National Health Affairs of KSA for his effort in consolidation of zero SSI and no harm policies.
