About the Journal
Aims and Scope
The Journal of Aging Studies and Therapies (JAST) recognizes that to properly study and manage age-related diseases such as cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative disorders, cancer and diabetes we need to understand the science behind them. That implies learning Molecular and Cellular Biology, fundamental/translational research, Geriatric Therapy, Geriatric Care, Palliative Medicine, Genetics, Biochemistry, Pharmacology applying to Geriatric Medicine, Endocrinology, Neuropathology, Health Services Research and Behavioural Sciences. Moreover, JAST wishes to contribute to bridging the gap between scientific research and the application of sound science in healthcare for the elderly and life span extension.
The Editors will focus on studies that involve carefully selected reports that provide a link between basic research and application in human age-related diseases, management of functional decline during ageing and improved prevention or treatment of disease. The editors support the dissemination of unique solutions to challenging scientific and translational questions related with studies of Ageing and Geriatric Medicine.
JAST is dedicated to publishing material of research in Geriatrics Health-oriented approach, preventing or delaying the onset of intrinsic diseases of ageing, focused on indicators of disease risk and mechanisms of ageing and age-related disease. Such papers will be interesting to an international audience of researchers in Ageing, Health Science researchers, health care professionals and clinical specialists. Most likely, the readership of JAST will be involved in the practice of fundamental, medical, social and experimental sciences.
The Editors pursues contributions which prioritize distinction, originality, reduction to practice, accuracy, focus and appeal to the readership. Presumably, scientists in all disciplines related to Gerontology and various scientists devoted to Ageing and Geriatrics in the broadest sense will engage as authors of JAST articles. JAST employs a rigorous peer-review and editing process to evaluate manuscripts for scientific sharpness, innovation, and significance. Editors will weight as well as the Geriatric Medicine and Ageing Sciences worth of its diverse content.
Call for submissions
Journal of Aging Studies and Therapies (JAST) publishes articles of original, interdisciplinary, and applied research. The Editor actively encourages manuscripts from scientists and professionals dealing with research in Geriatric Medicine and Ageing Sciences, Molecular and Cellular Biology of Ageing, Geriatric Therapy, Geriatric Care, Palliative Medicine, Health Services Research and Behavioural Sciences. Focused research articles on a broad range of topics as well as experimental papers and clinical trials may be submitted. Furthermore, authors may contribute original high-level scientific articles, contention in geriatric medicine, specific programs for looking after the elderly, letters to the Editor, and case reports.
