Biography

Dr. Jeremy Mao is a professor in biomedical engineering, orthopedics and dental medicine at Columbia University, and also holds Edwin S. Robinson Endowed Chair at Columbia University Medical Center.  He is the author of multiple books including “Translational Approaches in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine”. His research interest includes stem cell biology, biomaterials and regenerative medicine.  Dr. Mao has published over 172 scientific articles including Nature Medicine, Lancet, Cell Stem Cell, etc.  Dr. Mao has given over 330 keynote and plenary lectures worldwide. His work is funded by multiple NIH and other agencies.  Dr. Mao’s previous work has been translated into medical products that are approved by FDA and in therapeutic use that benefits millions of patients.
