Research Interest

Research focus is on marine aquaculture, habitat restoration, oyster stock assessment and bluecrab and oyster fishery and water quality issues, specifically research in the associations between algae, shellfish, and water quality, water quality driven toxicity in harmful algae, shellfish-algae dynamics, nutrient runoff and water quality management, aquatic ecology, land use impacts on aquatic health, marsh grass habitat and relationship between seafood safety and environmental contaminants.
