Biography

Dr. Lingyong Li is a Research Scientist at Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, MD Anderson Cancer Center, The University of Texas, Houston, Texas, USA. He was formally an Associate Professor in Shanghai Institute of Material Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences between 2009 - 2011. He received his Doctor degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Nanjing Agricultural University, China in 2006. His research is focused on signaling transduction mechanisms involved in opioid tolerance and G protein-coupled receptors, and cellular and molecular mechanisms of pain transduction and transmission; circuitry and plasticity of the spinal dorsal horn associated with chronic neuropathic pain. He has published more than 10 research papers and review articles in peered-reviewed international journals. As the Principal Investigator, his research has been supported by National Science Foundation of China in 2009.
