Biography

Chedly Tizaoui, PhD, is a Chemical Engineer by training and currently he holds the position of Associate Professor at Swansea University, UK where he is also the Director of the Chemical and Environmental Engineering disciplines. Dr Tizaoui is a Fellow of the UK Institution of Chemical Engineers (FIChemE) and also is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Since starting his academic career at the University of Bradford, UK in 1998 as Research Assistant, subsequently in 2001 as full-time Lecturer and in 2007 as Senior Lecturer (now Associate Professor at Swansea University), he has devoted himself to research and scholarly activities and has played a significant role in contributing towards various collaborative research programmes in the field of water and wastewater treatment processes. His research focuses on the development of novel water and wastewater treatment technologies based on oxidation and advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) as well as chemical-free treatments.
