Biography

Dr Sivakumar Gowder received his academic training and conducted his research in institutions of high academic ranking in India and the United States. He earned his PhD from the University of Madras, India and received fellowship from AIIMS (India), UT Southwestern Medical Center, and the LSU Health Sciences Center (US). After his fellowship, he worked for the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (US) and Medical Universities in the West Indies. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor (Basic Health Sciences) at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Qassim University, KSA. Sivakumar has received several prizes and awards during his academic career. He has developed many methods / techniques ( primary renal cell culture method, confocal method for drug transport, in vitro histo-enzymological method, etc.) relevant to his research projects. He has authored many articles and has also edited basic and health sciences books (Cell Interaction, Toxicity & Drug Testing, Pharmacology & Therapeutics, etc. / European publications). Currently, he serves as an author or editor for several books,editor-in-chief for an international journal, an editorial member and reviewer for various journals, and as a fellow and advisory board member for various international organizations. He has been nominated as an external examiner of the doctoral research program for many international universities. Sivakumar has also served as an invited speaker and chairperson for international conferences.
