Biography

Dr. S. Scott Davis, Jr. is an associate professor of surgery in the Emory Endosurgery Unit, Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery, Emory University Hospital.  He join the Endosurgery Unit in 2005.  He is board certified in general surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Davis received his medical degree from Tulane University, completed his general surgical residency at Northwestern University, and did a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Ohio State University.  He specializes in advanced laparoscopy and GI surgery, and is the Associate Director for the Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship in the Emory Endosurgery Unit, one of the longest standing fellowships in the country.  The principle focus of his practice is foregut surgery, bariatric surgery, and hernia repair.
