Biography

Hassib Narchi is a Professor of Paediatrics and Consultant Paediatrician/Neonatologist at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences of the United Arab Emirates University, where he also holds the Chair of the Medical Examination Board for the College of Medicine and for all the licensing examinations and all the residency entry examinations in the UAE.

He has previously worked as consultant Pediatrician/Neonatologist in the United Kingdom where he was also an honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Division of Reproductive and Child Health-Pediatrics, the University of Birmingham. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (UK) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. He holds a Masters in Epidemiology and Biomedical Statistics (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London) and also a Masters in Medical Education with Distinction (University of Dundee).

He has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals and has written book chapters. He has been a regular reviewer for several international medical journalsand has also served in the Editorial Board of several peer-reviewed journals.
He has extensively trained candidates preparing for both the written and the clinical MRCPCH examinations both in the UK and overseas. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health examination (MRCPCH).
