Biography

Dr Roy has joined the Florida International University in 2012. He has obtained his PhD in Microbiology. Further, he extended his study in pharmacology of anti-HIV drug delivery in the Central Nervous System. Prior joining to FIU, he has done his postdoctoral research in Tulane University on interaction of HAART drug with Blood Brain Barrier and continued his research in University of Nebraska Medical Center on nanomedicine based drug delivery and potential animal model development for drug metabolism study. Presently, his research involves chronic immunological and pathological effect of nanoformulated drugs in animal model at different end organ level. The long term goal of his research is to reduce the HIV associated dementia through molecular understanding of neuroAIDS and also find some logical treatment options to prevent the disease progression.
