Research Interest

I am a cancer researcher whose specialty involves genome wide analysis of breast tumours. My main area of interest consists of deciphering the DNA alterations and gene deregulation (at mRNA and protein levels) that define cancer cells, and to utilize different methods to elucidate the mechanisms that contribute to tumorigenesis. By combining CGH- and expression microarrays, methylation arrays, with molecular techniques such as FISH (fluorescence-in-situ-hybridizations) immunohistochemistry, Western Blot, real time qPCR, cell transfections we have analysed multiple patient samples derived from numerous breast and ovary tumour tissues and cell lines.
