Wolfgang Jost studied Medicine at the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University , Frankfurt / Main and the Johannes-Gutenberg-University , Mainz. In parallel, he was enrolled in Economics and Master of Arts (psychology, pedagogy and sociology). After graduating, he began specialist training to a neurologist at the University of Saarland in Homburg . 1995 - 2013 he was head of the Department of Neurology / pain at the German Diagnostic Clinic in Wiesbaden.
