Biography

Dr Bhatt-Mehta is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy, Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases at the University of Michigan with over 25 years of clinical and research experience in Pediatrics. Dr Bhatt-Mehta received a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Pharmacy from India. She completed a Pharm.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati (1987) followed by a two-year postgraduate research fellowship in Pediatric Pharmacotherapy at the Ohio State University and Children’s Hospital. Most recently she obtained another Master’s degree in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis (CRDSA) from the School of Public Health, University of Michigan (2007) as part of the K12 and K30 Research Scholar’s Program sponsored by the National Institute of Health. Dr Bhatt-Mehta’s current research interests include Population Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics/Pharmacogenomics (PK/PD/PG),drug formulations and development of suitable dosage forms for pediatric patients 0-18 years of age.
She is an active member of American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) since 1989 and has served on a variety of ACCP Committees most notably the Fellowship Review Committee,  Chair of the Pediatrics Practice and Research Network (PRN), Chair of the Pediatrics PRN Research Committee  and Chair of PK/PD/PG PRN.
