Dr. Omidian’s lab is currently developing new technologies to deter abuse of the most commonly abused medications such as opioids, new polymeric platforms for oral gastric retention controlled drug delivery, as well as platforms to reduce alcohol in the systemic circulation. His lab is also collaborating with the college of Dental Medicine to develop feasible and effective tissue engineering scaffolds.
Research Interests Keywords:
Abuse-deterrent and abuse-resistant dosage forms, oral gastric retention, gels, hydrogels, controlled drug delivery, and Phase I clinical trial.
