Biography

Dr. Oluseye Onajole is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Organic/Medicinal Chemistry at Roosevelt University (RU) and a Volunteer Researcher at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He received his MSc and PhD from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (formerly University of Natal), Durban, South Africa. Dr. Onajole joined the research group of Prof. Alan Kozikowski as a postdoctoral research associate, where he had the opportunity to work on cutting edge research in drug design and synthesis. After three years of postdoctoral experience, he accepted a visiting professor position at RU. In addition to teaching, Dr. Onajole is still actively involved in research. He has over fifteen peer-reviewed publications, with a recent publication in Nature communications. Dr. Onajole also serves as an international grant reviewer for the National Research Foundation (NRF), South Africa. He currently resides in Illinois, USA with his wife and son.
