2006 Awarded the Medical University of South Carolina Office of Student Diversity's Emma L. Frazier, M.S., PhD, "88” Award for the completion of M.S, Clinical Research Degree in the College of Graduate Studies.
2006 Awarded the Mary Louise Williams Award sponsored by the Arkansas Pulaski County 5th District Court CYCLE Breakers Program. The Mary Louise Williams award is named for the judge on the quorum court who was responsible for obtaining funding for a program that provides drug rehabilitation services to Pulaski county parolees. The award is a community service award for coordinating the organization’s health fair, in which we provided health promotion education and disease prevention screenings for 600 parolees.

Appreciation of Support Award, C.Y.C.L .E. Breakers, Inc.
Provided counseling to parolees recovering from drug or alcohol addiction.

2003-2006

Awarded the Institute for Research Minority Training in Mental Health and Aging (IRMMA) Postdoctoral Fellowship (IT32 AG021794-02). IRMMA is a three year postdoctoral funded by the National Institutes of Aging and sponsored by the Medical University of South Carolina in association with the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry. At the end of training the fellow and completed a masters in Clinical Research at MUSC in the department of Epidemiology and Biometry.

We have developed two recommendations: Transition of Care and Education and Training of Formal and Informal Caregivers of Persons with Dementia

2011 Grace Ministries-travelled to Nigeria to teach nurses in two states. The content I taught were Dementia and Caring for Older Adult and CPR.

Served the Pulaski County Circuit Court Program for Convicted Offenders as a counselor and helped to coordinate the health fair. BSN and NPs students participated in the screening and health education. The health fair was sponsored by Little Rock court system and the Arkansas Health Department.
