Biography

After obtained medical degree, I worked for the Inner Mongolia Chest Hospital and the Tuberculosis Research Institute, where I attended the large tuberculosis prevalence surveys initiated by the national and local health authorities. During my master of public health study, I involved in the national survey on smoking and explored the burden of disease study at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. In Japan, I attended the Japan public health center-based study on cancer and cardiovascular diseases sponsored by the National Cancer Center.
Except for the community-based studies, my clinical research experiences were enhanced through monitor, design, quality assurance, and data analysis of clinical trials in pharmaceutical companies, the World Health Organization, and the university. Apart for teaching epidemiology and biostatistics, I am also working for the clinical center of University of Tsukuba. In addition, I am a reviewer of several international medical journals.
I was born in China. Currently, I am living with my wife and son in Tsukuba, a scientific city of Japan.
