Research Interest

The ID Division maintains an active research program. ID Division members have been successful in securing extramural funding, publishing numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at national and international meetings. The major areas of research interest are deer-associated zoonotic infections including Lyme disease, babesiosis, and anaplasmosis, HIV and syphilis pathogenesis, and periodic fever in children.
