Biography

Dr. Hongjun Wang is an associate professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Department of Chemistry, Chemical Biology and Biomedical Engineering, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey. He and his group have contributed more than 56peer-reviewed journal papers besides a number of book chapters, invited reviews,patents, oral and poster presentations and invited talks in various fields such as biomaterials, tissue engineering, nanomedicine and regenerative medicine. He is a recipient of several awards including Jess N. Davis Award for Exemplary Research, Procter & Gamble’s Awards for Outstanding Graduate Student, etc.Prior to joining Stevens, he was a research fellow at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Department of Dermatology, Harvard Medical School, Boston. He received his first Doctorate in Polymer Chemistry & Physics (Biomaterials) with honors fromNankai University (Tianjin, China) and second Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering (Tissue engineering) from the University of Twente (the Netherlands).
