Biography

Antonio M. Esquinas, MD, PhD, is staff physician of Intensive Care unit of Hospital Morales Meseguer in Murcia (Spain), associated Fellow College Chest Physicians, International Fellow American Association of Respiratory Care and Director International School of Non-invasive mechanical Ventilation, President International Association of NIV, and Ibero American Association of Bioethics in NIV. Scientific activities related with editor in chief and author of numerous chapters, articles and books focus on mechanical ventilation, no invasive mechanical ventilation, postoperative pulmonary complications and associated respiratory technologies. Research Interests: Acute Lung Injury, Airway Management -Airway Obstruction, ARDS, Asthma, Bronchoscopy, Cardiac Function, Chronic Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure-CPAP, Postoperative Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Management, Humidification and mechanical ventilation, Mechanical airway clearance devices, Mechanical Ventilation, Monitoring, Non invasive mechanical ventilation, Obstructive sleep apnea Postoperative and intraoperative Pulmonary Physiology, Pulmonary Hypertension, Respiration Disorders, Respiratory Mechanics-Respiratory Physiology, Sepsis, Septic Shock, Sleep Disorders, Weaning mechanical ventilation.
