Biography

Guang Peng is an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Cancer Prevention at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The long-term goal of her research is to apply the basic knowledge of genome maintenance mechanisms to early detection and cancer prevention.Dr. Peng devotes her research not only to improving understanding of cancer biology, but also to developing clinically applicable strategies to prevent cancer initiation, progression and recurrence. Her research has been funded by several agents including NCI and American Association for Cancer Research, Susan Komen for the Cure Foundation and Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas.
