Biography

Dr Hassan graduated from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and went on to complete two master's degrees-one in oral implants (with distinction) in Spain and the other in aesthetic medicine (with distinction) in the UK. He has since completed PhD in oral microbiology and immunology, which was awarded in Sweden. Dr Hassan is a senior clinical lecturer/examiner/PhD supervisor at the European Oral Implantology MSc Program at University King Juan Carlos (Madrid, Spain) and a substantive clinical lecturer and module lead in aesthetic medicine Centre for Cell Biology & Cutaneous Research, Blizzard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. He is a visiting clinical researcher at the Department of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Middlesex University (London).

Dr Hassan has a diploma in dental implantology from the Royal College of Surgeons (England) and a diploma of membership at the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow). He is a member of the British Council of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) and Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP). Furthermore, he was awarded the 1st British Council of Aesthetic Medicine Research Award in 2019 for his clinical paper on “Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin (i-PRF) in Aesthetic Medicine-a prospective consecutive cases audit of outcome”.

He frequently attends and speaks at oral research congresses and aesthetic medicine meetings. His areas of research interest are oral microbiology, cariology, regenerative treatments/materials and platelet-rich derivates such as PRF/ PRP/ growth factors, oral implants and peri-implantitis.
